Walter's Story
Life
My Spouse:
I met her at a coffee shop in Naka-meguro, Tokyo one evening... the rest is history! (* GRIN *)
My Pets:
Our dog died at 13 years old in 2004. She was a standard medium sized mutt (Heinz 57 mixture variety) but the most adorable mutt in the world. Haven't had the heart to get another one yet.
But we do have two parakeet "Budgie" birds.
My Kids:
My oldest Son "Masa" is 36 yrs old and does landscaping.
My second Son "Yuki" is 34 yrs old and works for Tokyo Gas.
My third Son "Ken" is 27 and is pursuing a job in animated graphics.
My Job:
There is never a dull moment. New technology is coming out faster than just about any human brain can consummate (as far as the deep-down nitty-gritty full technical support for network and security related products is concerned).
School
Had fun.
Wished I did a lot more... studying... dating... etc.
Was a bit too shy then, but have gotten over that now.
I think I di...Expand for more
d good with what I did learn though.
Thought I knew it all then... BOY WAS I WRONG... (* GRIN *)
Made my own motto:
When you get to the point where you finally think you know it all... then... and only then do you realize how much further you still have to go. ~walter benton~
Workplace
Had many jobs... many positions, but mainly in the technical arena and most of them in Japan thus they aren't list-able here on Classmates.
High School gave me the basics... the US Navy got my head screwed on straight and gave me the gumption to move ahead...
My various work got me the skills I which I continue to use today and which continue to propel me.
Military
The US Navy turned me around from a no-good punk into a young man with a direction in his life.
If you got nothing better to do... the Navy will give you something better to do with your life.
Class of '76 Reunions: I didn't make the 10th, but enjoyed the 20th, 30th and 40th!
