Walter's Story
Well hello,
It is the new year, Jan 2009. Was Santa good to everyone? I also hope the start of the new year is also just as good. I truly hope it just the beginning of a wonderful year for you all.
I just want to than everyone for taking a peek at my story and pics. Since I have been with classmates I have been able to find, get a hold of and keep in touch with a lot of you.... my friends.
So far I have been keeping warm from the cold and snow. Although I have to say this winter so far, (Knock on wood) doesn't seem as bad as last year.
For those that have known me for a long time? My mother is doing very well. She has remarried and has moved away from Clinton but is still close by living in Illinois.
My wife and I still get over to Savana, and to Clinton to try and see everyone.
One thing I am thankfull for is when I was younger I used to live up in Lyons, lived not quite on the south end of Clinton and finally spending most of my years on third ave. north. I was lucky to meet and stay friends with alot of people. When I come back to Clinton a lot of the time I ride around not only to see how much Clinton has cha...Expand for more
nged, but to go and see where I used to hang out... and get into trouble... ha ha. I still remember the grade schools. All the good times and friends I made. Then the times in Junior High... I guess it Middle School now, huh? Playing football against friends from at that time two other Juinor highs. And playing football in front of the high school. And playing baseball at Riverfront. I think like you all? I could go on countlessly thinking about the good times we all had with our friends and classmates.
One of the last things my father told me before he passed away was the time I told him that I couldn't wait to get out of high school and be on my own. And he told me that there will come a time when you will look back at your time in high school, remember all the good times you had and wish it could have been longer... AND HE WAS RIGHT.
You all mean a lot to me. you all were a special time in my life. I still think back to the "GOOD OLD DAYS" with you all and to this day I still smile.
MAY YOU ALL BE WELL AND BE SAFE. If you are ever in the area .. let me know or give me a call....
Bye for now........ Wally
