Walter's Story

Life All of you know I graduated from Davidson in 93' along with you. Soon after, I joined the U.S. Navy for 2 years, went to Spain, Italy, Greece and Cuba. I came home to Mobile in 95' and started college at USA. I graduated from South in 2000 and got commissioned in the U.S. Air Force as a Second Lieutenant. Leigh and I went to Tampa/St. Pete Florida in my first assignment where we got married. We were in Tampa for 3 years and loved every minute of it. After seeing all of Florida from Key West to Pensacola and everything in between we moved to Shreveport, La and Barksdale Air Force Base were we stayed 2 years. During the 2 years there I went to Adana Turkey for 7 months and Leigh joined me there for 4 months. We traveled all over Turkey, Greece and Cyprus. There's so much history there and the culture is different. The people and food were great. ed Izmir, Turkey which is on the west coast. It was called Symnra which is one of the 7 Churches talked about in the book of Revelations in the Bible. We've been to all of the 7 Churches and Corinth, Athens and other parts of Greece and Turkey. We loved most everything about Turkey and Greece and we'd go back in a heart beat. Once we were done there we moved to Hurlburt Field, in Fort Walton Beach Florida. We lived there for 1 year and moved back to Mobile, just as a stop over. I've been applying for U.S. government jobs and just got a call recently, so we'll move again. Leigh has also applied for government jobs, so we both want to work for the government and see where it takes us. We don't have kids, but we do want them someday. All in all, life has been great and we've traveled some and seen a lot, but there's a lot more to see. We want to get government jobs in Europe so we can continue to travel and just enjoy life. God is good! Enjoy life to the fullest.
