Walter's Story

For those of you who read this or sign the guestbook please take the time to drop a note so I know its not just a random site notice and someone is actually looking. :) My Story Wizard results: well... I guess the way I hope that my old friends remember me is as a funny guy. I always wanted to be a parent when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a n unlikely idea. As it turns out, they were wrong. The way I like to relax is watching tv, movies, playing guild wars on the computer or knitting. The wildest thing I ever did in school... hmmm. I am not telling... (blush). If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have family life in order, an accepting work environment, and luck to be able to deal with the day-to-day. If I were to pick someone that I am inspired by and who I consider to be my hero it would be my parents for different reasons. My Mom showed me how to keep a family together and my Dad how to succeed from nothing. I now live in the midwest in Illinois. I moved here for the schooling and stayed for my partner. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Orlando Rivera, because I wonder what ever happened to him. My obsessions: 1. Learning how to crochet a granny square. 2. Cirque du Soleil... love it. 3. Zoos... love animals... very peacefull to me. The biggest surprise in life was that I would have a family with kids and grandkids. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the whole house and add on a nice yard. My dream home would be replacing my lovely wreck. I have learned from being a parent to listen. It can save lives, it can improve family relations. There are teachers I remember fondly but I doubt they would remember me so I really don't need to see them again. If I won $100 million, I'd give a third of it to my parents, then spen...Expand for more
d the rest on bills, house and nest egg.. Living on campus at Bloomfield was a lot of fun. I remember most of my roommates fondly... Johnny, George, Mahindrah were all great guys. To be truly happy I would be with my partner getting back in shape somewhere fun...like biking in chicago. My current age is 39. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be crusty, moldy and decrepit. I was so completely right, ha ha. Hmmm... my first crush is an arrogant ass and I was so very disappointed when I met them again. My best friend would tell you I'm adventurous, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as a homebody. Years ago I wanted to be stylish... now comfort is a great factor. Weirdest job I ever had was renting tv sets to sick people in the hospital in nyc. This was in my high school years. It was heartbreaking and dangerous for two reasons... they don't supply you with basic protections for you, yet they want you to sell to biohazard rooms and I was almost mugged at the end of the day as people know you have the days proceeds with you as you leave. I quit after the first day. I share my home with partner and our daughter and her husband, which I find fine but she is ready for her own home. I guess if I had a do over I would go to school to become a chef. In 10 years, I hope to be alive. I'm going to get there by getting back into shape. My oldest friends are Steve Chin and Linda Cimmino. We all met in high school. I always felt like an outsider and Steve could understand that. Linda appreciated my outsider status. What would surprise everyone at my high school reunion? That I showed up... ha ha. My first job was at a bank, where I got paid nothing to intern updating the paper files. What I remember most about it is the stacks of crappy files.
