After getting a doctorate in Biochemistry/Nutrition at Rutgers Univeristy (New Brunswick, N.J.), I was hired by McGaw Laboratories in Irvine, CA. as a Clinical Research Scientist in 1977. I was nearly killed in an auto accident in
December '79, and spent almost 3 months in a hospital. After returning to work, I left McGaw in 1981 for a position as Manager, Dermatology Clinical Research at Allergan Pharmaceuticals, also in Irvine. I was subsequently promoted to Director, Clinical Research Services. ...Expand for more
I took a job in Spring 1993 as a Regulatory Affairs Manager at Steri-Oss (which was subsequently acquired by Nobel BioCare), a small dental implant manufacturer. After about six years at Nobel Biocare (and 3 or 4 surgeries), a back problem that I had developed in the late 1990's forced me to go on permanent disability. In Spring 2003), I was able to resume some degree of physical activity with the hope of eventually being able to resume working. As of July 2010, there has been no further changed in my status.
