Walter's Story
After graduating from Archbishop Walsh High School, I attended and graduated from Seton Hall University. I then successfully pursued my dream of a becoming a state trooper. I joined the Connecticut State Police in 1966 and proudly served in many patrol, investigative and supervisory positions until 1991 when I retired. I then accepted a position as Chief of Police in a small city in Vermont. During my tenure as Chief, I began working on my Masters Degree in the Administration of Justice which I completed in 1999.

ition as Head of Security for a company that owned numerous shopping centers in the northeast. For the next 5 years, I was deeply involved in anti-terrorist and security activities for the private sector. I left this position when I was appointed a full-time professor and chair of the criminal justice department where I had been teaching part-time. I still hold this position.
Presently, I live in a rural area of Connecticut, near the Massachusetts border, where I enjoy my hobbies of reading, model railroading and target shooting. I also enjoy the visits of my three adult children and two grandchildren.
It is hard to believe that 2010 will mark the 50th anniversary of our graduation. I would enjoy hearing from anyone who has photos or other information about our alma mater.
