Wally's Story
I've been married since 1966 to the same person. I call Harbor, Washington, home. You all know I went to Milwaukie High School in Oregon. The building isn't there now. After one year at university. I served 30 months as a missionary in Europe (Germany, Switzerland and Italy.) Then I jumped from school to school finally finishing at George Washington University where I studied Nuclear Medicine Technology. cycling enthusiast. I retired from all that except cycling in 2009. In March 2014 I did an event in Solvang, California. Seven days later I had a stroke. After intensive rehabilitation, I was back on the bike in 15 months, Since 2018 my balance issues have worsened and I am no longer a "roadie", but I still train for general health reasons.
Latest in the saga: After epilepsy, two strokes, back problems only a surgical team can correct and compromised proprioception; I have given up the bike … and replaced with a trike. Start life on a trike. End it on a trike. Well, a Catrike.
