Walter's Story
I worked at Pittsburgh Sheet until I got drafted and went into the Army, as a machinist and went into entertainment playing drums for a very good band winning the seventh division battle of the bands, had a chance to tour europe and America, but lost the chance to play at the 2nd division contest, went back to my job worked at Rack Engineering then a variety of jobs ending up at Uniontown Hospital for 17 more years, finally forced to retire due to degenerative arthritis,but during my life I played in many good bands, the best one being Sir Walter and his Knights, I am single, was married twice and miss a female companion, but am gun shy, as the world has gone pretty crazy. life and having a hard time believing it: I made it "this far"and lived through it. I live in my house in Connellsville, ALONE, and am living with the pain of arthritis, but am enduring, my drums are up in my music room, and play when I can, and listen to my small stereo, of about 5,000 watts: that's how I clean my windows; just turn up the volume, I love singing, when I can remember the words. I received a call from an old band member of a fabulous band called Jamestown Kolony, in 1972. Boy am I getting old, but I am not a quitter, and will hanging in there till I run out of fuel. I will remain optimistic until my world collapses. My success is to never quit at any thing that you love and follow it through until you succeed, much love Walt Knight, Retired age 64
