Wanda's Story
I live in south Mpls with a couple cats. I love gardening and taking pictures, being by, on or in the water. I work in senior affordable housing as a social worker and love my job. I have fun stories to share.
The biggest suprise I've had in life is that I didn't get married and have kids. Came close to marriage a few times but never went through with it. I've enjoyed being a good auntie to lots of kids.
My gardening goal is "grass as an accent". I've been in my house 26 years and each year I make my flower beds a few inches to a foot bigger in one direction or another. I would much rather pull a few weeds than mow.
I would love to see Mr Cade again. He taught english. He was such an intense guy. When my oldest brother died as a senior the year before I got to Cooper, Mr Cade wrote a beautiful poem about Bill.
I loved going to Mankato State as it was called ...Expand for more
back then. I lived in the dorm all 4 years. I'm still close with many friends from school there.
I would be happy to take a winter break every year to a warm place near the ocean. I love snorkling and being underwater. A year ago I tried snuba but I'm too much of a bobber in salt water to stay down. I'm better off floating on the top looking down. Also on that trip I saved my friend's life after we got caught in strong currents. She couldn't swim to shore. I didn't realize it til I was on shore and had to swim back to get her. Then we had to walk back 1/2 mile in our fins because the road was too hot and the sides were rocky and prickly.
I haven't stayed close to folks from Cooper. I have many fond memories of life at St Raphaels and Cooper, good friends and doing many silly things. Got to catch up with many at the 20th reunion but will not be able to go to the 40th.
