Wanda's Story
First giving honor and praise to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ without whom I may not have been here to share my story.
I am currently an Emergency Preparedness Officer cum Emergency Response Coordinator cum Special Events Coordinator cum Planner for the DC Department of Public Works. I have worked here for about eight years after spending fifteen and half with the State of Virginia. My job entails all manner of emergency management from issuing sandbags to H1N1 vaccinations. I love my job. I am currently single, no children, I have a 13 year old nephew who is the light and love of my life. Although I don't have much spare time I still enjoy gourmet cooking (when I have the chance), jazz, listening to OUR MUSIC, I do commit to quality time with my nephew. I do need to also commit to seeing my friends or at least calling more than I do. It is something I am going to work on.
