Life My Spouse,"Skip", was in the US Navy stationed in Long Beach, and I was working as a secretary in Los Angeles. We met through friends, and have been married since Oct 1962. We have 3 children - 1 daughter (3 grandchildren) who lives in St. Joseph, MI, and 2 sons, one lives nearby, Buchanan, MI, and the other lives in Sweeny, TX (both with 3 children each, one of whom has 3 miracle children, his wife having been told she would never be able to bear children, thus the doc has dubbed these children "true miracles"). We also helped raise 2 of my nephews and I consider them my boys too. One is in Iraq working as a contractor, and the other lives in Hot Springs, AR. I have been an elected official (presently Township Trustee, formerly Township Clerk)of our local govt for 7 years with 3.5 years of my term remaining, and am presently on the local Planning Commission as well. My husband and I are retired but remain active and busy.
