Wanda's Story
Moved from Waterloo at 18, followed my husband around in the Military for 15 years. Settled in Washington State, I work for a National Bank and manage an operations support team for two lines of business within the bank. I travel quite a bit for my job to check on my team and the progress they make as well as to train and equip them in the compliance needs for our industry.
My husband Sam and I have been married for 29 years. We have two children, a girl 28 and a boy 22. Our daughter is married to a serviceman who is currently serving in IRAQ and our son is in Basic training in Ft Jackson, SC.
We have lived all over the world and traveled extensively. We were stationed in West Germany when the wall fell. That was really incredible.
We currently live in Lacey Washington. While our children are gone, we will never be empt...Expand for more
y nesters as we share our home with young people who in a program run by our church that allows them to explore the possiblity of making the ministry a career. We give them room and board and they keep us young and vibrant!
I enjoy my life and feel it turned out well. The biggest surprise to me is what I do for a living. I despised all things mathmatical, however it seems that is not the same thing as finances which I am very successful at. I help to manage multi millon dollar companies.
I think I was pretty much on the fringes in high school and never felt like I fit anywhere until I was out. My children on the other hand very much enjoyed high school for which I am glad. However, I did always tell them...Life really starts after high school.
I am not sure where everyone went or what they did. But my life turned out well.
