Wanda's Story
Hi! I did not graduate with the class of "74". In the summer of 1973 my family moved to Gainesville, FL.. to my sadness I was unable to complete my senor year with the classof " 74". I did finish the same year. A deploma I did recieve. In my junior year I took driver ed. with Mr. Doug McClure. The day he took me on the drive test he took 3 football player and a helmet, the day before a student(female) he said there was almost an accident so he wasn't going to take any chance (ha! ha!) I was also told by all 4 males that they would ride with me again, so if there is one person that remembers the class or day yep that was this person. I was also in the Spanish Club ( Ms. Munson). It really was a fun year for me I married a year later to a wonderful man. We are still happy after 38 years. To the ones who may remember me. I was a mother of a son. I was blessed to become the mom for his 2 year old son Paul(41). Three years later in Sept. 1975 we became parents for the 3rd time a son Joshua(35). Three year later in Nov. 1981 our youngest son Andy (32). (All boys) I now have 10 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren and 1 beautiful great grandaughter.(2). 7 grandsons ages 26,19,17,12,12,8,7. 5 grandaughters ages 23,18,17,13,6. I do not spoil them I just love them (that is what grandparents do).. I was a homemaker and mother for 15 years. I became ( I would not have ever guessed) a lunchroom lady in an elementary. Yes I did follow in my mothers foot steps(my moms very 1st job 2yrs.). I've been in the Levy County school system fo18 years. My school Chiefland Elementary in chiefland, FL. It's been 40 years since I've been at Northsde High or seen anyone, but I will say my life has been memiorable. maybe we will meet at a reunion. I plan to be at the Aug.15 and 16 2013 reunion with my lovely sister Susan Hendricks Bacon "73"
