Wanda's Story

Greetings to all Cedar Grove alumni. My life has been a happy one. I married Ben (Benjy)Rogers in 1978. We just celebrated our 30th anniversary on 12/22/08 by going to Universal Studios in Orlando and having a fabulous dinner at Emeril's. We have a son, Brian, who is 25 and moved back home after graduating college. He's working to pay off student loans and hopes to buy a house when he is debt free. We live in Covington, GA - moved there 4 years ago after having lived in Conyers for 15 years. Both of our parents are still alive and well. My parents still live in the same place on Flakes Mill Rd and Ben's parents live in Social Circle. I have a job I love in Conyers. I've been here 7 years and hope to be here a long time. It is a small company that manufacturers erosion a...Expand for more
nd sediment control products and my job(s) includes some of everything - from shipping & receiving to keeping the books to running the office and writing articles for industry publications and anything else that comes up. We are a small company, so the four of us wear many hats - which keeps it interesting. I've been receiving info from Classmates for some time and occasionally pop in to see what's new. I usually visit a few of the profiles for people I remember from H.S., but rarely leave messages. Since I was pretty much a wall-flower in school, I don't expect too many folks to remember me. As I said at the beginning of this story, my life has been good. Ben and I have been very much blessed and thank God for being so good to us. I hope the rest of you can say the same.
