eam turbines, generators, large air compressors, pumps and other types of equipment used in the production of electricity. I remained there until September 2001 when I took an early retirement along with several of my co-workers.
Military
I joined the Georgia Air National Guard in December of 1963 and went to basic training in San Antonio, Texas in February 1964. After finishing 5 weeks of training there, we went to Rantoul, Ill. This is where I learned to be a machinist. I returned home in July of 1964. I stayed in until my time was up in December 1969.
