I was on the Wrestling Team and in the Machine Shop. My family moved to Pottstown in the summer of 65. I inlisted in the Navy in Feb. 1967 and was supposed to go to Great Lakes Training at the end of August. In the middle of August. I flipped my black 1939 Ford 2 door sedan and got my first concussion. The Navy gave me an honroable discharge. My parents talked me into going to Montgomery County Community College and majoring in Biology and Psychlogy. My brain injury caused me to forget a lot. I turned into a hippy!! I still could not spell very well and later found out I have dyslexia and an IQ of 110. I left MCCC and went to Northeastern University in Boston, same dual major. To pay for school i worked as a welder at the Falls River ship yard at night. I got tired of the hippy life and drugs and moved back to Indiana to help with the family farm. Meet my wife who had grown up 3 miles from my grand parents. We moved to Muncie, IN and I got a Degree InIndustrial Education and Vocational Technology from Ball State University. My first teaching job was in the Indiana State Prison at Michigan City IN. I taught an Associate Degree program In Welding Technology to 24 maximum security Inmates for 3 years ( I got to go home every night ).
