Wayne's Story
Life
Graduated 1955, BS in civil engineering from Arlington State College (UTA) in 1964. Worked in the commercial construction field for major companies until retirement in 2001. Project manager on several well known projects in the metroplex: Ft. Worth Water Garden, Kimbell Art Museum, Amon Carter Museum, General Motors Arlington Plant, several office buildings in Dallas.
Have been participating in Masters Track since 1987. Have won one Masters national title (1...Expand for more
00M in 2002) one National Senior title (200M) in 1995 and one world Masters title (4x100 relay) in 2003. Competition in these events is held in 5 year age groups. In 2003, I was ranked 12th in the world in the 100M dash and 7th in the 200M dash. I have been married to my wife Nancy for 45 years. We have 2 daughters and 3 grandsons and 1 granddaughter. We currently live in Arlington where we have resided for 43 years. I am active in Epworth United Methodist Church.
