Wayne's Story
Well, what about me can interest anyone? I moved to Tybee Island after graduation to live with my father, had a good time, and then came back home to Conyers where I continue to live this day. I met a girl from Redan High (Leigh Anne "Missy" Curry) that I ended up marrying in 1990. We had one son, and thank God just the one son. We divorced in 1999. I have raised him since. I met my current wife Kristine in 2001. She is such a great mom to him. I have worked for Carmax in Stockbridge since 1997 as a lead mechanic. I have always loved cars and machines and really anything mechanical.
I started doing electrical work after high school, and worked my way up to being a fairly good commercial electrician. I was running a service truck driving all over Georgia when I just got burned out. I had always wanted to be a mechanic, but all I knew was the basic how to change the oil kinda stuff. ight school at Gwinnett Tech from 6 to 9 at night. I did that for 2 years untill I recieved my certificate of completion. I lucked into a job at the local Chrysler dealer where I really started to know the buisness. I have been doing it ever since.
My hobbies include anything to do with cars, bikes, trucks, atv's... anything with a motor. I have a 58 Chevy Apache pickup I am restoring right now. I have recently been introduced to deep sea fishing, which will be a hobby forever. That was so much fun. I am scuba certified and I have been on the bottom and seen all the cool stuff, but catching them and fighting them is exilerating. I am still a dork, just like in school, but I have come to really enjoy my dorkyness. I am looking forward to the class reunion. I am a bit shaky about it too. I knew alot of people but kept in touch with hardly anyone. I am still excited. I guess that is the basics about me.
