Wayne's Story
I served as the Special Representative for Union Pacific Railroad for 26 years doing legislative advocacy (lobbying) in the state capitols of Sacramento and Carson City. I retired in 2007.
I attended the University of Utah and graduated with a B.S. and M.S. in political science. I lobbied in Washington, D.C. for three years and then returned to Ogden, Utah to work for the Weber County Commission for about three years before starting with Union Pacific. I've lived in Sacramento for 31 years.
I married Catherine Miller who was a graduate of Higland High and attended the University of Utah, University of California at San Diego and the University of Southern California. She obtained her doctorate from USC and now is a Assistant Professor in ...Expand for more

My natural daughter is Angela, a stay at home mom to my grandaughter, London. My stepson, Walt, lives in Wyoming. I've subsequently adopted Walt's three children, Airelle and Bessa (twins) 12 and Francis, 9 after fostering them in Oregon for 8 months.
I'm still active in public policy and have a Hinckley Institute of Politics, White House Intern with the University of Utah and serve on two public boards with the University of Southern California and the California Center for Civic Participation.
I play basketball three times a week, lift weight twice a week, collect baseball cards and love all kinds of movies.
I'm still passionate about the Utes, Dodgers and Washington Redskins.
