Wayne's Story
I've stayed right here around Columbia my whole life. The longest move I made was from West Columbia to Irmo, where we live now. I graduated from USC with a major in accounting, then worked as a public accountant for a few years. After that I went to Seibels, Bruce and Company, where i worked for 19 years. I met my wife Sue there, and we got married in 1984. It was a second marriage for both of us, so I guess we learned our lessons well enough the first time around. ded). He lives now with his wife in Atlanta. They're expecting a son in April, who will be our first grandchild. I finished my career at Blue Cross Blue Shield, retiring from there in 2011. We enjoy being home, but also travel fairly often. Sue grew up in Lancaster, PA, and we go up there 3-4 times a year to visit her family, plus other trips throughout the year. Our biggest vacation since retiring was a European group tour in 2015 to Prague, Vienna, and Budapest. Our lives have been very fortunate, which we try to be thankful for every day.
