Wayne's Story

Life As a USAF dependent I attended Glasgow HS, Glasgow, Montana from my freshman thru the start of my senior year before we moved to Abilene, Texas. I graduated from Cooper HS is Abilene. After graduation I moved back to Birmingham, Alabama to attend college. I interrupted my college education with an enlistment in the USAF and a tour of SE Asia. I returned and completed college, graduating from the University of Montevallo. I married Diane Stewart, of Birmingham, in 1968 and now have two beautiful daughters, three great grandsons and a grand-daughter. I retired from AT&T in February of 2008 and started my own internet based business, The PHlock Shop, designing and painting adirondack chairs with a Buffett inspired, tropical beach theme. ne you are on a beach in St. somewhere with a margarita, ejoying the warm sun and island breeze. Avacation for the mind and soul. I am a huge Parrothead (Jimmy Buffett fan) and a member of the Magic City Parrot Head Club. Other folks having a connection with Glasgow that I have reunited with while in Alabama have been Tom Blum, Bob Eubanks, Phil White, Babs White and Paul White. Strange thing is that I had been knowing Paul White for several years before we realized the Glasgow Montana connection. It has been a long time but the memories are clear and very enjoyable. I do wish people could include pictures of themselves from high school days to help me remember. Many times I know the names but cannot place the face. Hope to hear from some of you. Wayne Ratliff
