Wayne's Story
Who are you really, Wayne? That's a fair question, and one that has left me stumped for 46 years! Nah...I'm really a pretty down to earth guy. I did everything in my power to wreck my life between the ages of 18 and 32, and I guess I'll be spending what's left of it trying to put it all back together again. ( :
Really though, everything is pretty darn good now (as I write in June 2010). I'm still single, and expect to remain that way all my life. I sure ain't no playboy though - far from it. I stay pretty close to home in the Dallas area. I had a bad accident in 1995 (hit by two cars as a pedestrian) which nearly killed me and left some fairly significant physical issues. So I live on disability, but it's all good. Like I tell people sometimes, at least I didn't have any head injuries. That means that there's nothing wrong with my brain that wasn't already wrong with it before the accident - haha.
Nowadays, I live in an apartment with my three "kids", my cats OC, Popeye, & Gigi. OC and Popeye are teenagers (both 13), and Gigi is my little baby (she's four). I like all kinds of animals, and miss having ...Expand for more
dogs, but for apartment living, cats are the best! I have five guitars too, and am a reasonably good player. I can play a variety of stuff, from Johnny Cash to Eric Clapton, and a lot of stuff in between. It keeps me occupied. I also stay up-to-date on current events. They've always been interesting to me, and sometimes (like now) are very important too. The older I get the more conservative I become. I'm not too terribly doctrinaire, but have a low tolerance for people who are very opinionated without also being very well-informed. I suppose I'll leave it at that.
That's about it for my little synopsis. Like everyone, I have a long story, some good, some not so hot. But every day that I wake up and draw breath is a good day for me. So I seldom complain - my personal life is for the most part just the way I like it. It isn't perfect, but it's pretty darned good! ( :
Take care dear readers. Maybe I'll run across some old friends here and maybe even make some new ones. We shall see how it goes. Until later...bahulahumba! (If you didn't watch Giligan's Island, that one probably went over your head! : D ).
