Arthur's Story

Life I'm living in Orange County, California. My two sons are, Adam (born 1985) and Alex (born 1989). They are great kids with lots of interests. Donna and I met in 2001, and were married in October 2003. We like to get into trouble (as much as old foggies like me can, anyway). After Central, I went to DePaul, and then to U of I-Champaign for my Ph.D. After 18 years as professor of ecology and evolution at the University of California-Irvine, I am moving to a new position. Starting in in July 2007 I will be the director of the Koffler Scientific...Expand for more
Reserve, which is the University of Toronto's new facility for ecological and evolutionary research. My job is to build the reserve into an international center for studying the biological impacts of global climate change. My work, has taken me to some interesting places, including Costa Rica, Siberia, England, Scotland, Japan, and for an entire year, The Netherlands. I get to Montpieller, in the south of France, once or twice a year as part of my continuing research on plant genetics and evolution. Drop me a line and let me know what you're up to!
