Wendi's Story

Life Since graduation in 1988, I have had a full life. I married my high school sweetheart Jaime Barajas. I met him at McDonald's when I was a Junior at Coronado and started dating that summer. After Graduation I went to College then moved to Florida. He followed me down there and proposed to me in 1991 the year of Hurricane Andrew. We were engaged for awhile then married in Feb. 1995. We have been very happy. We lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico for 8 years and ow live in Chandler, Arizona. We have 2 dogs that we love very much. We had a baby girl back in October of 1999 but unfortunately she passed away right after she was born. We named her Angelica Corrine. We are still trying to have children and also looking into adoption. I am a Member Service Representative at a Credit Union and Jaime is the General Manager for Garduño's Restaurant. He has been with them for 10 years. We moved to Phoenix 4 years ago when they opened up here. I hope to here ...Expand for more
from some of my old classmates. So in short this is my life so far. Since, I wrote last we have started adoption proceedings. We have decided to adopt domestically. We are waiting to get certified and then we get to start writing to the birth mothers. We were certified in October 2005. We had an appointment with the adoption lawyer on January 9th and got to take our baby daughter home on the 10th of January. She was born on January 9th. This is a long and exciting story and miracle. Everything happened so fast that we were in shock for the longest time. We did not expect to have a baby so fast. We are very excited and love our daughter very much. We saw her the day she was born and got to take her home the next day. We named her Stephanie Angelica. As of today Nov. 15th 2006 we decided we want to adopt another baby. We want Stephanie to have a sibling. Update as of November 29, 2012 Stephanie is our only one and we would not have it any other way!!
