Wendy's Story
After I graduated I began my law enforcement career with the Parker County Sheriff's Department, Weatherford Texas in February 1990 as a Dispatcher. In 1992 I was transferred to the Jail Division. In 1995 I was promoted to the rank of Corporal.
I attended and graduated from the Police Academy at Weatherford College in 1997 as salutatorian and secretary of my class.
I briefly left the Sheriff's Department in 1998 to get married. I married the man of my dreams Ric (Midland High School) who I met on a blind date on April 4, 1997 at 7:04 PM. Thanks Jeremy Denney for doing that for me. During that time I worked at Texas Tech University Police Department in Lubbock, Texas for 2 1/2 years as a dispatcher and police officer before returning to Parker County Sheriff's Department in October 2001. I was in the Tra...Expand for more
nsport Division for 3 years. I enjoyed the traveling but I didn't really enjoy getting called out in the middle of the night.
In July 2004 as part of the Transport Division, I was assigned to the main historical courthouse downtown Weatherford as deputy/ bailiff for the County Court at Law No. 2 and I am still there.
On January 25, 2006 I gave birth to a beautiful boy CJ. He has been such a blessing to us. He sure does keep us busy, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
I have been married to Ric since September 1998. He received his master's degree from Texas Tech University (Go Red Raiders). He is my best friend and soul mate.
My hobbies are collecting police, fire, EMS and Security memorabilia and patches. I also trade patches as well. I also enjoy taking care of my two cats Spanky and Ruger.
