Wendy's Story
Life
I have been living in Israel since 1979, so I've lived here just as long as I lived in the States..My parents came here 6 times but in the last 12 years I have been coming to Margate in the summers since they can't make the long trip anymore. We can also can see my brother (in pictures)who is still in the area and has been to Israel 3 times.
My Pets
a mutt called Hetz and a cat called Clyde
My Kids
I have a beautiful daughter Keren who is 26years old. She served in the Israel Defence Force in the Search and Rescue Unit of the Homefront Command where she was an instructor as well as in the unit. She'll be graduating from Tel Aviv U next semester as an Occupational Theapist. She worked for 3 summers as a counselor along...Expand for more
with other Israeli counselors at the JCC's Camp By the Sea in Margate as part of a special Partnership 2000 project. She just got engaged and will be married March 2009.
My Job
I worked for an international organization called SOS-Kinderdorf and did the foreign corespondence in English with the HQ and Sponsors who donate money. I also do a little translation and tutor in English as a second language as the kids learn English for 9 years in Israel. I do some graphics and art on wood which I sell through a women's group (which I am very involved)in Arad. I also am on the Living Bridge committe of Partnership 2000 for the last 10 years. Partnership 2000 in Arad (sponsered by the Jewish Agency) is connected to NJ and Deleware.
