My ASPIRATIONS begin with personal health first. God has his ways when you ignore your body temple. I also learned that Pride can be a terrible master if you let it. My health has humbled me in so many ways. I live today with an awesome attitude of gratitude. I am forever grateful to my family and blessed with strong and loving friends. Prayer is my power and love. IÂm walking on sunshine and dancing in the rain. My future is GodÂs.
I never really settled down even though my body was giving me the signals. GodÂs given me a second chance at living and learning more than ever. IÂve got a list of adventures to experience. IÂve always had an abundance of love in my heart and in my life. So when the time is right, so will be settling down with Mr. Right. I continue writing childrenÂs literature. The writing process has been so fun and cathartic. Yeah, IÂm ...Expand for more
still a kid at heart. Presently, I'm back in school and pursuing my photography more seriously. I hope to enter some art shows. I have some ideas of how IÂd like to develop my path in this field. Right now, IÂm doing my field research and keeping my eyes and ears wide open.
SINCE 1984
The School of Hard Knocks has offered me some of lifeÂs toughest challenges and lessons. I have no regrets and trust God has placed me exactly where IÂve needed to be. IÂve survived lung cancer, a colonectomy, diabetes, and a host of other health problems. I considered it an achievement to hike the mountains of Shenandoah and WA State with almost a lung and a half. My martial art breathing technique assisted my healing process. I recovered from major surgeries in half the time. I demonstrated mind over matter by breaking three concrete bricks with my bare fist safely. I medaled in state and national championships in the Olympic Sport of Tae Kwon Do. I helped introduce this martial art into school's P.E. and special education programs as well as local community programs. I participated and witnessed students embrace their mental and physical limitations as well as surpass them. I would not trade these priceless life experiences for anything. IÂve learned so much about people, lifeÂs politics, adversity, and the majesty of the human spirit. These years have equipped me with social tools that have helped me leap thru life and confront some of my greatest challenges. IÂve held some interesting jobs and enjoyed some impressive mentors. At this chapter in my life, I honestly feel like IÂm just getting started. My health is recovering and so is my life. IÂm learning more and experiencing more. I aim to master my life to my most intended potential. I see the puzzle pieces before me. IÂm just beginning to bring the collective pieces together. I trust God will reveal those mysteries when it is time for me to know. In the meantime, I have a list of adventures to embark upon.
