Wendy's Story
I came to California after that year in Belgium as an exchange student. There I took lots of odd jobs, dabbled at going to school for an architect's degree, and bailed out of school. I learned I am an outdoor person, not meant to sit in an architect's office. But I loved the idea of building craftsman houses, or funky creative houses. twenty somethings that are learning the trade. My daughter, Lani, is 21, travelling, earned her massage therapist degree, and loves to spin fire. She is a kick. I live on a hilltop in northern California, and have lived the rural life since 1979. My partner, Marty, and I are about to make the move from rural to city (small city), so I am just about to make a big change. I met up with Ann Usitalo, Kim Heron, and others at the 30th reunion. I'm really glad I went.
