Wendy's Story
Life
After graduation I headed to Florida State University, as planned. It took about three semesters to come to my senses. In January '94 I transferred to Purdue University, where I finished out my Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing and Linguistics (dual major) in '96.
In August '98 I moved to Madison and started work on my Master's in Applied English Linguistics. Finished my coursework in that in December '00, moved in Minnesota in...Expand for more
February '01, got married in March, and passed my exam in August.
In Fall '03 my husband took a new teaching position in a town in the Southwest corner of Wisconsin. We moved to yet another town with a population smaller than BGHS, and somehow I got hired by the University of Wisconsin-Platteville to teach English--my dream job.
We have three cats adopted from the local Humane Society, and one daughter, Katherine, who arrived in '05.
