Wendy's Story
Life
I married in 1971(to Gary Furnia), had two children named Nicole and Shane. Divorced after 10 years. Remarried in 1986 to Bob Oppenheim ( and still very happy!), had one more child, Matthew.
Worked for Harlem Valley for 20 years, left 1992 was Assistant Director of Nursing at Eden Park Nursing Facility in Poughkeepsie x's 7 years, went to another nursing facility as Director of Nursing x's 2 years (Did not like being the Director!) My husband, Bob, is an Administrator of a Mental Health Clinic for Dutchess County in East Fishkill (and has proclaimed himself as our neighborhood mayor!). My daughter age 25 is a teacher in Maryland. My son Shane is 21 and living in Erie,Pa (he is still trying to figure out how to become a millionaire). My son Matthew is 14 just started 9th grade and hopes to become the next American Idol (yes he does sing well). I'm looking forward to the day I can retire and move to Tucson, Arizona!!!!! I keep busy with work, reading and book club, treasurer of a Boy Scout Troop, and a Sunday School Teacher.
