Life
Well....it's been a really long, long, long time since I was a Harlequin, attended Mr. Z's English class, dreamt of joining the SHHS Band as a tuba player....or found another excuse to avoid gym.....
Has anyone else turned 50 and found it rather distressing?! For my 50th birthday to distract myself from the distress, I threw myself a grand party. The theme was "Lord of the Rings" and the party was held on the same day as Frodo and Bilbo's birthday. Guests came as Ents, elves, hobbits, orcs, rangers...We ate of Lembas, Rosie Cotton Salad...Expand for more
and other Middle Earthy delights. Two folks from Turbine, the creators of Lord of the Rings Online attended and brought wonderful gifts. Greg Alexander played guitar and sang. Odds Bodkin told stories and a mysterious Wraith added to the atmosphere...plus we had a really BIG tent!
This year I plan to celebrate my September birthday in April by taking a bunch of friends to see "Flights of Fantasy"(music of Star Trek, Harry Potter and of course, Lord of the Rings). If you plan to attend at Spfld Symphony Hall drop me a line and join our party.
