Wendy's Story
I always wanted to be a airline stewardess or missionary when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were right.
However, when studing in college, I realized that my dreams were deeper than just traveling, although service was my priority. I found that I could travel with my jobs, family, and other ways, and still serve people, indirectly.
My goal now when I travel is to find a needy person or family and help them in some way -- big or small. ...Expand for more
This gives me and my family a goal -- besides learning about a country or people, we find someone we can bless.
We also have found that we can bless people everyday with a kind action or deed. We make it a daily and weekly goal. Our lives have been so blessed and happy by finding a person in need and supplying that need or pointing the person in the direction of help.
Now we are teaching our children to do the same and our family is very happy that we can be an inspiration to others.
