Wes's Story
You'll probably remember that I worked at Tracy's B&K during high school. After BHS I did 2 years college at Omaha while working various jobs. Quit school and worked full time as a mechanic, as a clerk at UPRR, some construction and then back to UPRR. Raced stock cars at Sunset Speedway and several other area tracks in the early 1970's. Married Patti Deardorff in 1974. Lived in Keystone. Son born in 1977, daughter in 1980. lly graduated after 18 years. Moved from IT to lead the IT efforts for the Mechanical department. Retired after 37+ years at UPRR. During the years I also lived at 150th and Corby and on a few acres in Fort Calhoun.
My son took a job near San Diego and then my daughter, knowing we would chase the grand kids, took a job near Long Beach. So, we chased the grand kids to California - NEVER thought I'd live out here. We found a place out of the heavy population and traffic about 40 miles north of San Diego in a non-incorporated area called Valley Center.
