Life
5/11/2015. I live in Houston Texas with my wife Debbie, a native Texan, We have two sons Forrest (23) and Skyler (20). I work for Murphy Oil Exploration as an International New Ventures Geophysicist exploring for oil in offshore West Africa. Debbie is a Geophysicist for BHP working offshore South Africa. We met at Amoco back in 1980, fell in love, and married in 1981. Our sons were born in 1991 and 1994.
We love to travel. We moved with Amoco from Houston, to Denver, back to Houston, to Norway, back to Houston, to Trinidad, and back to Houston. The nest is now empty. Both the boys are great kids. Forrest is in graduate school at Michigan State, working on a PhD in high energy particle physics. He and Claire married last summer. Claire does the weather on TV. V station in Saginaw. Perhaps you will see her on TV. Skyler is at Baylor University majoring in Film & Media. We just saw his first short film shown at the Baylor Film Festival.
Both my parents have passed on. We miss them dearly. Two of my brothers live in Michigan and one lives in San Francisco. We get back to Michigan more often now to visit Forrest and we still meet for a family reunion every summer for a week on Intermediate Lake, Bellaire.
Debbie and I are big football fans for Baylor University and Michigan State. The Cotton Bowl was quite a conflict. Great game! We are also both Ocean/Lake people and spend whatever time we can near and on the water.
The recent drop in oil prices have led to layoffs and early retirements throughout the industry. It looks like this July may be my time to retire.
