Westley's Story
I grew up in an area that was humorously called by many of my neighbors and friends as, English Woods Ohio.
We were financially destitute, but we were unaware of this fact because the entire "Patch" was in the same situation. and did not become aware of our plight untill we left our neighborhood school, Heinold, and went to various High Schools.
I was the last graduating class of CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL, 1965.
after graduating my generation was hard pressed to get a job because of the Draft, no one wanted to train you to have Uncle Sam bid you GREETINGS, and then posess you for at least two years.
So two of my lifelong friends, Nappy and Jack Griffith and I joined the Army and began 'Basic Training" on 12 July 1966, we were definitely out of our element, unaccustomed to discipline and rigorous physical training we struggled untill we got the hang of it, eventually all three of us wound up in VietNam, and thankfull...Expand for more
y made it back to good old Cincinnati.
As life usually goes I got married and had a son, the marriage didn't work out and I found myself sort of adrift untill I ran into a girl I had a crush on in my teens, she was also now on her own and we began to take up more and more of each others time, untill we decided to make it permanant, that was 30 years ago, we've since raised a daughter, who lives in Franklin Tenn. with her husband and is having a son in August.
I have worked for the Post Office for the last 13 years, after loosing a job with a check printing co. after 24 yrs., to relocation, and I am definitely looking foward to retiring, I would like to live in the St. Pete area of Florida, we have taken numerous vacations there and I have grown to love it, the beaches, the Gulf Water, and even the sand, these are of course "hopes", we'll have to wait and see what the future brings.
