Military
Hi folks,I know it's been a long time so let me start from the begining.
After graduating from CCHS I walked out of the safe confines of New Jersey straight into US Navy bootcamp in Great Lakes, Ill. After that ordeal I was transfered to Oxnard, CA where I was trained to be an electrician in the Navy's Civil Engineer Corps. I had a 4yr stay in Cali, durring this time, I had made several deployments to Okinawa, Japan, The Carribean and the Persian Gulf. Finally leaving in 1993 to start a new life in Tokyo, Japan. Japan was a great place to be young because everything was so controlled and efficient, not to mention the women. I almost got married out of there but things fell apart and I dodged a bullet..whew!!! From Japan I had decided to return to the U.S to live in Norfolk, V.A and spend a little time with the folks. This was a turbulent time because my mother fell ill and everyone was walking on eggshells and praying up a storm. Fortunately, she made a full recovery and she's running with all 6 cylinders in tact. From V.A I had transfered to my most challenging and u...Expand for more
nique assignment in Keflevik, Iceland and I lived there for a year and a half. It was a strangely beautiful place and Scandinavians are hard partiers, after all, what else could you do in a place that had 6mos of daylight through the summer and 6mos of darkness through the winter? From there, I made the extreme transition from Iceland to Sicily, Italy. Where I had fallen in love with Italy..figuratively and literally, picked up a couple of pounds and visited a few places throughout Europe such as Malta, Poland, DE, Russia, Sweden. After my tour in Sicily I wanted to keep the Italian theme going so I moved 6hrs North to Napoli where I am today. As for the other areas in my life I've found myself in a committed relationship and on the razor's edge of retirement form the military. It's been a great ride...so far.
(NEW STUFF)
I have retired from the military on the 30th of September 2008 and now I'm working for a defense contractor which is supporting the Army in Afghanistan which is where I am now, unfortunately, I missed the class reunion but I have the next one on my calender!
