Completed PhD 1996. 1995 began expanding consulting business to include academic coaching, counseling, and certified private school grades 6-12. 1997 divorced after 27 years. Joshua married 19 years now to Joni. Both are in computer sciences. Josh for Windermere Solutions and Joni as an independent systems analyst. They have 4 children ages 7,9,13, and 17. Josh and Joni are youth ministers as well at Grace Foursquare Gospel Church in Federal Way , WA. Son Matthew is an artist, songwriter and musician in Seattle. He and Sean married on August 4, 2012 with dad officiating. Matthew leads a "FeeI-Good Metal" band called "Devils Hunt Me Down" (can be seen on Facebook). Both of my sons, my daughter-in-law(Joni) and I have served on our church's worship teams. I also serve as a consulting Chaplain to the Volunteer Coordinator for Prisoners for Christ located in Woodinville,WA; collaborate with VCI Ministries' founder; serve as a speaker for Cascade Prison Ministries and serve as an editor for various writing venues. Much of this came about as a result of my own prison experience which is currently in process with the US Supreme Court. Utterly amazing how God uses seemingly horrendous situations for good. As a result of my legal fight, my second wife divorced me as did a number of "friends". However, my encounter with our 2 systems of law; "justice" if you have plenty of money or "legal" if you have no money and deplete your life savings; has taught me that only God's judgment is "fair and balanced" Through this my family has become closer than ever; my friends that are left more loyal than before and my faith stronger and more active than I ever imagined it could be. I put this situation "out front" to fully disclose my status while very satisfied that those who matter have viewed my documents of innocence and know me to be so. The charges that I am now preparing for "directed verdict of acquittal" presentation to the US Supreme Court have to do with stock securities improprieties. You may think this a strange platform in which to lay out such information. With today's rapid communications' transmission, better to initiate than to anxiously anticipate. So for those of you who are aware of my current "Gordon Gecko Experience", continue to ask those questions. I welcome them. For those of you who are curious, I welcome your inquiry. For those who will or have made up your minds without asking but simply by accepting me or the courts, may God forgive you, I do and may you never be in a similar situation. As Ronald Reagan practiced, "Trust but verify." Greed is not good. The love of money is the root of all evil. Being unequally yoked in anything requir...Expand for more
ing devotion, commitment, honesty, vulnerability, and transparency leads to prideful idolatry. I left Blountville High School determined to complete a list of life experiences. I have been blessed by God's will to have completed that list and then some. I learned so much from my high school experience and my friends from BHS. I carry them with me still. I learned to love in high school. I learned that holding hands in assembly can be a life long memory. I learned that an injury can be used by God to teach others about healing. I learned the realities of what's important and who you can truly trust. Though I have traveled to exotic parts of the world, my thoughts always take me back to where I grew up as the most meaningful of foundational experiences. Today, I am joyous; in awe of the future; awestruck by the past; content with a lot or a little (and I've had both) excited about each new day; can still take anybody playing HORSE (bring your wallet); blessed to be in good health and have a great wife (Sharon), a lovely new daughter addition Robin and her husband Steven, along with a precocious one 34 month old granddaughter, Jade(who the other four G-kids adore) and a new grandson Jasper (7 months); have great outings with friends, grandchildren and sons; lead a Men's Fraternity Small Group at my church of attendance Grace Foursquare Gospel Church, Federal Way, WA(where I have just begun the licensing process to become a pastor); as well as, providing transition support for our church's men and women leaving military service and those who have been isolated or incarcerated from society that suffer from PTSD. Outrageously, I'm still in training for a triathlon(Northwest is a dryer place than we let people know with beautiful terrain). Instead of a "Bucket List" I have a " Life Liberation List". At this juncture in my life it is not the education, the work experience, the recognition or the infamy that have contributed the most to my being. It is relationship; my relationship with my Lord, church, my wife, my family, my friends and my memories. May each of you enjoy fullness in your own lives as I have been blessed with in mine. May love and faith always be verbs in your life. Thanks for listening (reading). I loved seeing "old friends" at the 2012 50th reunion. I'd be honored to see and/or speak with some of you soon. I'd love to "catch-up" so "stop by". My contact info is; 253-569-9755 Cell; 206-414-6533 Home; 4544 South 192nd Street, Seatac, WA 98188-5046. Respectfully Will Bentley P.S. Thanks to those at the reunion who inquired about my sister Levina. She passed away in 1999 from complications related to type 2 diabetes. My brother Pat recently retired and has lived in Tucson,AZ since 1966. I always wanted to be a minister when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a crazy idea. As it turns out, they were wrong. Intense physical exercise releases mental and physical tension for me. Doing things that are uniquely romantic have always provided emotional and spiritual calm. There is something about loving for the sake of loving that makes the tensions of live much less important. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Lauren Bentley, because I miss my daughter's radiant loving smile and exquisite sense of humor. Crusades for causes that effect children or unjust reprisals are my cup of tea. I share my home with family, which I find energizing. In 10 years, I hope to be adding to my list of liberating experiences. I'm going to get there by staying healthy, laughing, loving and trusting the Lord. My first job was at the Holiday Inn in Bristol, where I got paid .50 to .75. What I remember most about it is the Chinese cook chasing me with a meat clever.
