Willard's Story
Might not remember me as "Willard" (my first name). Went by "Dean" in school. Went to Texas A&M after high school (a "give away" after viewing the photo). Got two engineering degrees from there (Classes of 1978 & 1985). Just goes to show that you can graduate in the 3rd quarter of your class & still succeed in college (IF I COULD DO IT, ANYBODY CAN!). Went to work in the oil fields in West Texas in late 1978; Worked in downtown Houston in 1979-80; Got married in 81 (still married to the same woman (believe it or not)) ; lost a bit of hair along the way (really a “lot” of hair compared to my senior photo in the annual). fety engineer from 1985 through present. Looking forward to retirement in near future (hopefully 2022). Man, time has flown by! Haven't joined this yet (probably won't) but I remember more names & faces than I thought I would as I scan through the list. Some of you (most of you) I wouldn't recognize now (you'd say the same about me as well as you can see by my photo above (where I'm "racing" one of my grandsons (he beat me by the way)) & from the photos below (with middle son at his graduation from National Guard "boot camp" in 1st photo, holding infant grand kids in 3 of the final 4, & posing with my youngest daughter prior to her high school graduation (& yes, I know how to "tie" a "tie"))!
