Today is our 41st wedding anniversary. It's been a wonderful journey, and it will continue.
Kayak tour of the Dragon Run.  Leisurely paddling the meandering, crystal clear river through pristine wetlands and past tall, ancient trees with my bride of 39 years.  A truly religious happening rarely experienced.
Friends of Norfolk Historical Cemeteries/City of Norfolk volunteer day. 4/21/12.  Repairing and cleaning gravestones of victims of the yellow fever epidemic (1855).

This is Orangehead. He/she is a very large skink that lives in the flower beds at the front of our house.  Orangehead is about 7 inches long and really fat.  If you happen to know the specific variety I would appreciate it

July 4th Celebration at the Governor's Palace in Williamsburg. All tolled there must have been 25,000 people there yesterday.  The fireworks display was magnificent-the city went all out.  But, it was hot.
