William's Story
Life
I've been living a schizophrenic life lately working in mid-town Manhattan for an accounting firm and calling a bucolic corner of NJ my home. I graduated from Hofstra University with a BA in Political Science, which trained me for nothing specific while allowing me to interview for just about any entry level position imaginable. I was a reporter for the Times Herald-Record for about four years until I decided social work wasn't for me. I went on to marketing positions at a Big 5 accounting firm for eight year...Expand for more
s until spring 2000 when I went for broke in the exciting world of dot-coms. (You remember, when the NASDAQ was hitting new highs?) With no prospect of funding beyond the initial round, I crashed and burned and went back to another accounting firm. I married my college sweetheart from Rhode Island in 1991. We both enjoy our historic farmhouse, which we affectionately call the money pit. We don't have any children yet, but chickens may be on the way or maybe a she-goat for homemade feta. What's a country boy to do?
