William's Story
Life
At 27 I'm as happy as I've ever been. I've lived the single life and had a blast doing it. I've sold the bachelor pad now and will soon trade in the fancy car. I'm engaged to a wonderful girl and we marry in June '05. We've bought a new house together in the sleepy little town of Barrington, which we love. We have dreams of a golden retriever and a couple kids and don't have plans of waiting long before making them a reality. As much as life on my own was great, I don't ever want to go back.
I took a job out of college in mortgage sales. I found myself pretty good at it and am still doing it now. While the money is good,...Expand for more
it can be stressful and I don't know that I see myself years from now trying to support a family while struggling to make my quota. It can take long hours at times. Not sure what else I would do really, but these things tend to find a way to work themselves out.
I still see my close friends, though not as often as we used to. But I guess that's what married life and a job do to people. Pat Pfeffer will be my best man at the wedding. He is married now just over a year. I'm not trying to rekindle any old flames or friendships, but am just a little curious to see how others are doing and wouldn't be opposed to hearing from anyone.
