Life
was born in Springfield, Ohio 2/6/1925 as William E. (Bill) Caskey, Jr.. Brother: Philip Allen (Steve) Caskey [deceased}, Sister: Sue Bosworth ( lives in Lakewood, Ohio, recently widowed) Attended school in Springfield, Ohio through 1942, McGuffey Elem., Roosevelt, Jr. Hi., Springfield High School 1941-1942. when we moved to Akron. Attended West High 1942-1943, was drafted (had missed a year of school first grade due to illness) Discharged in 1945. Came back and graduated Arkon West in '46. Went to Kent State, graduated in '49. Taught elementary school at Mantua for one year, '49-'50. Went to seminary, graduated in '54. Served churches in Boardman, Ashtabula, Saybrook, Shalersville and Akron, OH., 1954-1966. Went back to Kent and earned MA in psychology. Worked as psychologist at state mental hospital one year then studied to be school psychologist. Served as school psychologist in Wadsworth, Orrville, and Holmes County. Went back to Kent State 1967, Ph.D. in '73, major in Special Education, minor in School Psychology. hanged last name to Hicks-Caskey. As a male I had to go before a judge to do it. Served as pastor of small churches 1995-2005 in Tennessee. Presently active at St. Marks UMC in Murfreesboro, TN., teach and study as well as worship there. Children live in Kent, OH, Asheville and Marshall, NC, and Murfreesboro, TN. (the latter is a step-son). Have 6 grandchildren, two in Kent, (one is a Marine, Cpl Mike Caskey, now in Hit, Iraq three in North Carolina, and one here. Reside in Murfreesboro since '01. 233 Faldo Dr., Murfreesboro, TN. 37128. 615-217-6320, cell: 615-542-5127. The Hicks granddaughter is in 6th grade only 5th grader with all "A's" last year from Christiana, TN, elementary. For a survivor of a heart attack I am in good health. The VA cardiologist says that he hopes IF he gets to be my age he is in as good health as I am. Sue is a survivor of breast cancer and is doing very well. We enjoy teaching "Living the Questions" and Bill Carter's "It's Our Bible, Too" as well as other Bible studies. May the richest blessings of the Creator of all be with you and yours.
