William's Story
I loved going to Holston but after I graduated I enrolled at ETSU to work on my degree. After my first year, I was drafted and after training, I was sent to Vietnam to be in the infantry with the 9th Inf Div. My year over there was not pleasant and I still have bad memories. 2 months after I retired I was diagnosed with Leukemia from Agent Orange exposure in Vietnam.

vice, I went back and got my degree from ETSU. I went to work for CDC in Atlanta assigned to upper East Tn. I spent 36 years working in Infectious diseases and after I retired, I wrote a book (Infectious Diseases in the Bible Belt. I enjoyed fishing and playing softball and golfing. I got married at age 30 and we have a 40-year-old son Michale who lives in downtown Charlotte, NC at Wells Fargo.
