William's Story
Life
For now I can be reached at "Will.Haldeman at yahoo dot com"
Went to Joplin High, obviously. Than MSSC. Then worked in the grocery business for about 4 years. Then in resturant for the next 5. Was buying investment property when I got the chance to work as a mortgage broker in 1995. Opened Haldeman Huskey Mortgage in 1998 at 20th & connecticut in Joplin. Still here in 2008. I love this business. Was married in 1995 until 1997. I have 2 kids. Madison born in 92 and Andrew in 96. I was single for 10 years then married for the 2nd time on Nov 24th, 2006. We have 5 kids between us. I love kids and am looking forward to having some more. I had a great childhood growing up with 8 brothers and sisters. I learned a lot from my father about how to be a great Dad. Hopefully I can start from where he left off and add a little wisdom of my own for my kids. Most of my friends seem ready for the retirement village but it seems the kids are always up for whatever the next adventure is. They keep me young.
My son Andrew was able to get to know his great, great, grandmother on his mothers side. Now that is a goal of mine to meet my great, great grandchildren. WOW That would be truely blessed.
Still live in the same house I bought in 1988. It has gone through several remodels since then. It seems a little surreal tho...Expand for more
ugh, that I have owned a house for 20 years now. I don't feel that old. lol
School
I always hear people complain about going to high school. I was never that way about it. That was where I got to see my friends all day. Cutting up in class, playing sports in PE, a hilarious lunch table bunch, and several classes that I actually enjoyed learning about. I know some of you might hate me for it but chemistry, biology, and the advanced math classes were the most interesting subjects for me.
Man, what I wouldn't give to have done high school with what I know now.
College
Went to MSSC in Joplin. Bought my first home in 1998. House parties got a little out of hand over the next couple of years. Duenweg held a special city council meeting to see if there was a way to get me out of town. Still in the same house for 20 years though. I hope my neighbors have forgiven me by now. lol.
Dated the love of my life. Everybody including me was sure we would end up married. She was 4 years younger than me and made some mistakes that I was just not mature enough to forgive at the time. I guess that was just one of those crossroads in life where you will always wonder,"what if".
Overall my college years were some of the greatest times of my life. I'm not sure I could have squeezed any more life out of that stage of my life.
