William's Story
After high school I enlisted in the Army and spend my last year in Vietnam. Returned home and to the employer where I worked during high school, Wacker Variety Store. In 1969, I married my wife. After managing two different stores, left in 1973 to become a Houston Police Officer. During my caeer with HPD,20 years, my wife and I raised two sons. I completed my college work in 1978 with a BS. lice Academy, and criminal justice courses at N.Harris college. I retired from HPD in 1994 as a sergeant to begin my second career in educational policing. I worked two years as a captain with HISD Police Department and in 1996 accepted my current position as Chief of Police at Conroe ISD. I still enjoy working. My wife and I cerebrated 46 years of marriage in September 2015. We have three grandsons and one grand daughter and a 7yr old golden retriever, Sir Duke. My wife and I enjoy being together, gardening, dining out and our grand kids.
