Life After four years in the Army during WW II, I married Virginia Walker and taught school: English teacher at Cambridge Springs, PA, Stroudsburg, PA, Wm Penn in New Castle DE, Conrad and Dickinson in DE, and Fulbright Instructor of American Studies at Langside College in Glasgow, Scotland. I was a school administrator for twenty years ,and retired after ten years as superintendent of Huntingdon, PA schools. In the past six years, I have written and published four novels: AND YOUTH WAS GONE about the Depression and my experiences in WW II; a second novel CIVIL WAR SERGEANT resulted from an actual Civil War veteran I knew when I was about eight; the third novel GREED! is about a modern computer genius Robin Hood who robs illegal secret bank accounts and distributes the billions to needy people and organizations, was published August 2004; I finished a fourth novel entitled CAST THE FIRST STONE, about a preacher going through a midlife crisis with his congregation and family.The books are available on-line through iUniverse,Inc., Barnes and Noble, and Amazon and can be ordered through bookstores.
