William's Story
After graduating from Northeastern with a BSME I was hired by Boeing on a NASA/DOE Wind Turbine project. Before starting my job I took a 2 month backpacking trip around Europe. On my first job we designed and built a 3.5 MW wind turbine on Kahuku Point Oahu (~360' tall). I spent some time on Oahu doing testing. continued to develop my expertise and I'm now a Boeing Technical Fellow and Lead Engineer in Boeing Research & Technology. I've worked on many projects, especially aircraft related including the new all composite 787 which should fly by end of 2009. Still married to Sarah and have 2 daughters 18 and 19.
