William's Story
It is difficult to say at what point in growing up one truly realized his or her own mortality. When it finally happens, it is a gift. For most people that is when we begin to really look around and appreciate, among other things, just being alive, and if we are really fortunate we still have our health, We come into this life with nothing and that is the way we will leave. ut it, as long as you realize that there is such a thing as "good" and it is important that we pursue that in what ever way we find comfortable. Finding away to help other people is a gift for them and for us. And of course our relationship with our family are so important. My mother told me many many years ago that life is full of so many changes but your family will be the one thing that you can count on to not change. Well, of course they will change, but she meant that they will always be there for you while others will come and go..
