William's Story

After High School went to several different community colleges and joined the New Jersey National Guard before entering Rider College in September 1971 as a junior. Joined the senior ROTC program and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in June 1973. Spent the next 24 years going to various duty assignments including: Kentucky, Texas, Korea, Germany, Kuwait, Iraq, and Washington, D.C, After retiring from the Army in 1997 I accepted a civilian posit...Expand for more
ion with the Department of Defense and will retire after 20 years on January 1, 2017.
My plan is to remain in Virginia for the time being. I also travel with my wife to Las Vegas twice a year to take care of a home that my parents owned. We have also taken a number of cruises to a variety of locations.
While in Germany we got to see a lot of different countries including East Berlin before the Wall was taken down. Served in the First Gulf War in 1991.
Life has been interesting thus far.
