William's Story
Life
I graduated from Del Tech in 1992 and ended up in Nashville, TN a few years later. I met and married the one true love of my life, Melanie. We have a son, Travis, and he's a great kid. I have spent the last 7 years working for the Tennessee Department of Correction. I've worked with the worst of the worst in Tennessee including those on death row. Not where I pictured myself 20 yrs ago that's for sure. I enjoy the work and have no plans of leaving there anytime soon. Melanie and I bought our first house a couple of years ago and I've taken up riding motorcycles. So far I have a 1980 Honda Goldwing GL 1100 and a 2005 Kawasaki Ninja EX 250 R.
I hope to keep up with this site to hear about a 20 yr reunion.
School
For those of you that don't recognize me by my name, you might remember me better as "Froggy". High school was fun most of the time, I was in the band so I got to go to all of the football games for free. The first game that the team won my freshman year will be one the games that I'll remember most. They won against Glasgow and that was the first of many "victory" parades that I got to march in. Another game that I will not forget was in 1984, if I'm not mistaken, it was an away game at Brandywine H.S. EJ Noonan was the center and his knee got messed up pretty good. That same weekend, an underclassman, lost his life after he...Expand for more
had been hit by a car. (Chip, you are still missed.) By far the best game during my four years at CHS was the win against William Penn at their homecoming, I think it was our senior year. Dr. Douglas was one of my favorites but the one teacher that I enjoyed being in class with the most was Mr. Hable.
College
I went to Del Tech Stanton from 1988 to 1992. Lance, Terry, Kim, Suzanne, and Frank were the best group of classmates and made the entire trip a blast. Kim and Suzanne I believe made it out after two years. After a brief encounter in Minneapolis and some other forgotten memories, I finally finished in June of 1992. From there, well......less than admirable so I won't bore you.....
Workplace
I started working for the Tennessee Department of Correction in October of 1998. I hired in at the Riverbend Maximum Security Institution as a Correctional Officer after completing the three weeks of training at the Tennessee Correctional Academy in Tullahoma, TN. Each year I return to participate in our annual in service training to requalify with our weapons and recharge the mind for another year. In January of 2000, I was promoted to Correctional Corporal. Since beginning my service with RMSI, I have worked with thousands of inmates ranging in custody levels from minimum trustee to administrative segregation to mandatory segregation (Death Row).
